New Drivers, New Successes

In addition to winning many races every year to proudly show the qualities of Energy chassis and of its competition structure, Energy Corse is also committed to train young drivers as well as to ensure the best possible conditions for all those who wear the team colours, in order to allow them to shine on national and international podiums. Instilling a culture of victory is a permanent challenge for team manager Mick Panigada and his highly competent team. At the Winter Cup as well as during the first meetings of the WSK Master Series, drivers behind the wheels of their Energy-TMs have already shown a series of top level performances. The "Energy Power" will certainly be in the spotlight in 2012…

Winter Cup: Two Podiums in KF
After many successes with Energy in KF3, Dennis Olsen has taken on the KF2 challenge with his regular team. The Norwegian driver claimed pole position right away in his group and was the leader after the qualifying heats thanks to his four victories. Less comfortable on Sunday after a drop in temperatures, Olsen fought right to the end and claimed the third step of the podium. In KF3, the Italian Danilo Albanese staged this same performance despite having much less experience than many of his rivals. Among the many drivers belonging to the Energy Corse structure, Sam Snell was 8th in KF2, while Connor Jupp made himself noticed by winning three heats in KF3. The German drivers Fabian Schiller and Tony Wolf, as well as the Brazilian Jose-Artur Fortunato were also very fast.

WSK Master Series: Victory for Zanchetta
Marco Zanchetta's debut with Energy Corse did not go unnoticed. 6th at the Winter Cup and best driver in his category behind five drivers normally racing in KZ1, the Italian was the first winner of the series in KZ2. He won on Saturday and he finished second on Sunday on the circuit of La Conca, drawing attention to his chassis high level of performance. He will try to conquer the title at Castelletto di Branduzzo, next 1 April. Accustomed to DD2, the Lithuanian driver Simas Juodvirsis showed his ability to progress in KZ. He even conquered a 4th place in a final at La Conca, but then was inflicted a penalty.
In KF2, Dennis Olsen was struck by bad luck at La Conca, but soon found his way to the podium again at Sarno. Instead, it was in the far south of Italy that the Briton Sam Snell and the Russian Vasily Romanov achieved their best result in this class, where the level of performance is very high.
In KF3, Connor Jupp and Felix Nilsson entered the top 10 at La Conca. The Briton improved his times enough to climb up to 6th in the final. As for Nilsson, who joined Energy Corse at the beginning of the season, he had never been so fast in a WSK meeting: 6th after the heats, 2nd in his pre-final, and 9th in the final after a small incident.

This year has definitely started under the best auspices for Energy Corse and there will be more opportunities in the meetings to come…
